Three slides projected in the gallery space of Universidad Catolica de Chile. The slides were taken from the head shave performance to camera on the railway line at Pititanguay/Chile, October 2002. Collaboration between Ruth Macdougall, Yael Rosenblut and Maria Jesus Miguel.

“A long, haired woman in a red, polka dot dress sits on a chair in the middle of a railway line. Another woman dressed in black shaves away the first woman’s hair, leaving her bald. The hair is not collected, left simply to blow away into the sea. At any moment a train on the railway line may come along, it is not clear from the setting where they are located, or indeed where either woman is from.”

The video documentation of the act was later taken back to Scotland and shown on a small LCD screen, planted amongst the Chilean cacti in the Botanic Gardens, May 2003.
